Hello everyone,

While working with 3D models in CGI Studio, I wanted to understand how to import GLTF files statically into a solution.

I would like to know the correct way to do this.

- Is it possible to import “.gltf” files directly into CGI Studio?
- If yes, what are the steps to import them statically?
- Do I need to convert the GLTF file to another format before importing it?
- Is there any additional setup required to use the imported 3D model in a scene?

If anyone has worked with static GLTF imports in CGI Studio, could you please share the steps or a simple example?

Thank you for your help!

Hi!

Yes, CGI Studio allows you to import “.gltf” files directly into your solution. There is no need to convert the files to another format for static import.

Follow these steps to import a GLTF file statically:

1. Open your solution in CGI Studio.
2. Go to **Import** in the menu bar and select **Resources**.
3. Browse and select the required “.gltf” file.
4. In the **Import GLTF** window, disable the **Import Dynamic Appearance** option to perform a static import.
5. Click **OK** to continue.
6. Another **Import GLTF** window will open. Click **OK** again to complete the import process.

After completing these steps, the GLTF resources will be imported successfully into your solution.

You can then use the imported 3D model resources in your scene as required. No additional format conversion is needed for this import process. You could even import animations along with it.
